Families visit light-filled, lakeside Christmas attraction in Taguig

Families and friends on Wednesday trooped to the colorful lights and displays at the Christmas by the Lake in Taguig City.

The six-hectare outdoor attraction with millions of Christmas lights is located in Lakeshore Taguig City, according to Mariz Umali’s “24 Oras” report on Wednesday.

“We are using energy-efficient technology and we want this park to symbolize the hope, faith, and resilience of Taguigeños. We bounce back from the darkness of the pandemic. Gift namin ito para sa kanila,” Chi Datu-Bocobo, project head of Christmas by the Lake and creative head of Think Big Taguig, said.

Tourists can also enjoy larger than life installations, a walkthrough kaleidoscope, laser and beam animations which are synchronized with beautiful sound effects, and an aerial light show. There are also interactive art murals and dining options on floating kubos.

Several families and friends came to the tourist attraction to spend time with each other ahead of the holiday festivities.

“Masaya po kasi pang buong pamilya, tapos libre po siya hindi na po namin kailangan lumayo,” visitor Bell Grapilon said.

The attraction is free for all the visitors. However, due to the pandemic, they must register online first before coming.

It is open from 5 p.m. until 12 a.m. starting December 1 until January 15. — Richa Noriega/BM, GMA Integrated News
