Yasmien Kurdi proud to part of the Pinoy 'Bleach' version as she spots original manga in Japan

Pinay Rukia Kuchiki in the house!

Yasmien Kurdi had a flashback to her voice acting stint in the Filipino dub of the "Bleach" anime when she came across the original manga in Japan.

On Instagram, the Kapuso actress posted a photo of the graphic novel, saying she actually first saw the complete collection at the International Manga Museum in Kyoto. However, since visitors were disallowed from taking photos, Yasmien took a photo of the "Bleach" in a bookstore instead.

6 years ako nag dub ng character ni #RukiaKuchiki sa Philippine version ng #Bleach habang dina-dub ko yung series, naging fan ako ng #Anime na ito," she said. "First time ko mabasa ang libro sa Japan."

Yasmien shared that she was able to see how the manga was drawn and created inside the museum, and that she was able to watch the recent episodes of "Bleach" on Japanese TV!

"Kung aalukin ako na i-dub uli yung 'Bleach' kung ibalik siya sa GMA, G na G ako Proud to be the Filipino version of #RukiaKuchiki," she said.

Rukia Kuchiki is a character in the series — a Soul Reaper who gives lead character Ichigo Kurosaki his powers.

The final arc of "Bleach," the Thousand-Year Blood War, is currently being animated after a decade-long wait. The second part is coming in July.

Yasmien, her husband Rey Soldevilla, and their daughter Ayasha are in Japan for a winter vacation.
