ArteFino is holding a pop-up ahead of its August weekend fair

Ahead of the three-day fair in August, ArteFino will be holding a two-week pop-up starting July 17, Monday, at the third floor of PowerPlant Mall in Rockwell, Makati.

All 70 vendors will be available the pop-up, but, “they will be in rotation so there is something new people can look forward to every day,” clarifies Mrs. Maritess Pineda, one of the five ladies behind the fair. Joining her are Cedie Vargas, Mita Rufino, Mel Francisco, and Suzie Quiros.

On any given day of the two-week pop-up, about 15 vendors will be present. “It will be a teaser for what will happen at the end of August,” she adds.

ArteFino distinguishes itself from all the other fairs in the country by having craftsmen and indigenous communities all over the Philippines as its beneficiaries.

The actual fair happens from Aug 25-27 at the penthouse of 8 Rockwell.

“We will carry products from and by the Mangyans, from the Bogobo community in Cotabato, from the weaving communities of Ilocos, Palawan, and Leyte and Samar just to name a few,” Pineda continues, saying there will be a variety of items from jewelry to fashion to home items.

Internationally acclaimed visual and furniture designer Ito Kish has been named curator and chief storyteller of the fair. — LA, GMA News
