Fil-Am YouTube star and makeup guru Bretman Rock has partnered with ColourPop Cosmetics and, based on the preview, the results are glitz, glam, and proudly gay.

In an interview with online lifestyle magazine Refinery29, Bretman said that his collection is a mash-up of two of his greatest loves: makeup and the Philippines.

The color palettes that will be released, "Lit" and "Wet", are inspired by the colors of the Philippine flag. One features cool, blue tones and the other has warmer shades like the shimmering "Bading."

"Bading", Bretman explained to Refinery29, is sometimes used as an insult.

"This word can sometimes have a negative connotation, which it truly shouldn't," he was quoted as saying.

"I wanted to pay homage to this word and own it. What better way to do that than by including it as the name of a product," he added.

Bretman in promoting the contrasting color palettes he helped create is also breaking stereotypes about gay people.

"I just feel like when you’re gay, you’re put into this little box. You're either supposed to be feminine or not feminine. Why pick? Why can't I be both? I just feel like everyone should be what they feel like, any given day. Some days I feel like lifting weights, and some days I want to dress up in drag. It's not about who I am, but more so, what mood I am in."
