Heart's 'L'Oreal x Love Marie' lipstick collab represents women in different stages of their lives
The painting on Heart Evangelista's exclusive lipstick collaboration "L'Oreal x Love Marie" is deeply inspired not just by herself but by women who are in different stages of their lives.
"This represents not just me, but different kinds of women — somebody who is very strong, someone who is very shy, someone who is finding herself — so it represents different kinds of women that people can relate to," Heart said at the intimate launch of her lipstick line Monday.
The Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations said she personally empathized with this certain painting: "That could be me. Like in my life, I went through different stages of my life."
She added, "as a woman, when I was shy, when I found my voice and now I feel I’m stronger and I know how to put my foot down, this is exactly that."

Before she put her paintings in dresses, scarves, bags — and now lipsticks — Heart admitted she was hesitant to put her artwork out there. "It was hard for me at first to let go of my paintings."
But now, she said she looks at her paintings as if they are her children, "mas magsha-shine siya kung saan man siya pumunta."
It excites her to have the thought of having other people see her masterpieces in other places.
"So kung nasa bahay mo lang siya, konti lang ang makakakita pero kung nasa bahay siya ng iba, mas maraming makakakita sa kanya. ‘Yon na lang ang iniisip ko and it excites me, I guess," she said.

Sharing pieces of her HeART
Heart is more open to sharing pieces of her art to more people to inspire them. According to Heart, "my paintings are all so emotionally motivated so I want them to be seen everywhere, because I want it to be a source of inspiration."
As a child, Heart already displayed artistic talent and inclination. "It's really the first thing I learned. Before reading and writing I was already drawing," Heart shared adding it was her father who put fuel to her burning passion in the arts.
"I would draw on walls and my mom would always get mad but my dad was super supportive. He's always like ‘okay lang 'yan 'wag mo siya iso-stop'," Heart narrates.
Early in her life, his father would already expose her to certain painters, by bringing her to galleries. "I remember, we would go to Megamall because on the top floor there are all the paintings there."
All about lippies
The "L'Oreal x Love Marie" Color Rich Mattes are available in five shades, which Heart personally hand-picked including Spring Rosette, Rogue-A-Porter, Hinted Blush, Pure Rogue and Brick Planet. Each tube costs P399.
Put all five tubes together and they would form the complete picture of Heart's painting.

Heart said her top favorite shade is the Pure Rogue (red) because it instantly gives her the glow she wants, no matter how she feels.
"If you're feeling tired, if you want to feel glamorous, If you want to look expensive, elegant, if you feel like 'yong blood circulation mo isn't good that day, red's also the best [color]," heart shared.
She said it's the shade the she would wear on a date and when she feels she would bump into an ex-lover.
Heart also adores the Spring Rosette (pink) as it's something she uses "when you have lunch with your friends and you just want to look mabango."

Lipsticks, says Heart, are actually a big help for her in facing her everyday struggles. "A lot of people think on social media you have such a perfect life but the reality is we are sad at times...I have anxiety, so it just makes such a big difference when you put the right shade of lipstick on and dress up, whether it's expensive or not. It makes a huge difference. You walk tall and you face life. "
The "L'Oreal x Love Marie" lipstick collaboration was launched in Lazada on June 17, it's dropping in stores on June 18. — LA, GMA News
