Starbucks collaborates with local artist Patrick Cabral for 'Sarimanok' merchandise design

Starbucks Philippines has collaborated with a local artist for its merchandise design for the first time. 

On Facebook, the coffee giant announced its project with Patrick Cabral featuring the Sarimanok, "a mythical bird of the Maranao people from Mindanao."

Starbucks posted photos of the merchandise including tumblers, tote bags and a paper card.

"Patrick blends a cultural symbol with his maximalist style, creating an intricate and exuberant design," Starbucks said.

The collection will be available in Starbucks Philippines stores starting June 9. —Jannielyn Bigtas/MGP, GMA News
