He delivered 2 bikes amounting to P12,000 but the buyer cancelled when the orders arrived

An online reseller of bicycle is crying for help after his customer cancelled his order of two mountain bikes amounting to P 12,000.

On a motorcycle, Prince Salvador traveled to San Mateo, Rizal all the way from Valenzuela City to deliver the two bikes to his buyer.

But the customer refused to accept his order when Salvador arrived at the delivery area.

“Ang gusto niya po kasi, pagdating dito, halos walang galos. Dalawa po ‘yung order niya na mountan bike. Ipinaliwanag ko naman po na hindi maiiwasan ‘yon kasi Antipolo pa po ‘yung deliver eh sa Valenzuela pa po galing,” Salvador told GMA News.

But the buyer refused to accept Salvador’s explanation and cancelled the order, leaving the seller empty handed.

“Sana kunin pa rin niya ‘yung bike dahil confirmed ‘yung order. Ako po kasi ang nag-aabono ng lahat ng delivery. Cash on hand po ang delivery,” he said, adding that he is running on a small capital.

Bikes have become in demand during the extended lockdown measures to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

The absence of efficient public transportation has forced Filipinos to turn to biking for mobility.

“Nalulungkot po ako, naiiyak, kasi ‘di ko po alam ang gagawin ko,” he said. “Malaking pera po ito!”

Salvador said he sought the help of the police to sort out the issue with the customer.

Later in the day, he confirmed to GMA News Online that the bikes were finally sold.

Cancellation of confirmed orders hurt many enterprising riders like Salvador who turned to online selling during the pandemic.

Some delivery riders, who rely on small capital to purchase orders in advance, fell victim to pranks or scams.

A bill was recently filed in the House of Representative sought to penalize cancellation of food and grocery orders.

Under the proposed measure, violators will get at least six years of jail time and a fine of P 100,000 along with the reimbursement of order. — LA/RC, GMA News
