Instead of bringing food, ‘pasabuy’ rider delivers adorable puppy

A “pasabuy” rider found himself in a unique position after he was tasked to deliver, not food, but a puppy to another home.

Delivery rider Edcarl Dordas shared that he had received this unusual request in a recent episode of #BetterNormalPH.

However, he said, the sender didn’t give him a cage or any storage to place the pupper in, except for a fishnet-like bag.

“So iyon, hindi ko naman siya pwedeng ilagay sa box ko baka mamatay siya so, i-drinive ko siya nang one hand, akay-akay ko siya,” he said.

Since Edcarl had just resigned from being a teacher and had no alternative income amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, he decided to become a “pasabuy” rider.

“Kasi sabi ko, akala ko literal na pasabay lang, iyon pala pasabuy means ‘bili,’” Edcarl said.

Like many Filipinos who have turned to taking “pasabuy” orders amid the health crisis, Edcarl buys items for people who can’t or choose not to go out. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
