Uniqlo Philippines has pledged over 500,000 of its new AIRism face masks for frontliners battling the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

“As the fight against COVID-19 goes on, we are committed to continue to support and help Filipinos, most especially those who are severely affected by this plight,” the Japanese apparel brand owned by Fast Retailing shared in a Facebook post Friday.

“To help the frontliners, who have been working hard to save our fellow countrymen, and the communities highly affected by the pandemic, UNIQLO has pledged to provide support by giving 500,000 pieces of AIRism masks,” it said.

According to Uniqlo’s site, the AIRism mask has a triple-layer structure with a high-performance filter that blocks airborne droplets.
