5 tips to make the most out of the coming 9.9 sale

Many Filipinos begin their Christmas shopping as soon as the -Ber months kick in.

But thanks to the COVID-19 situation, it looks like most of our shopping will be done online, where massive monthly sales begin right around the same time. First on the list? The big 9.9 sale.

We sat down with Shopee to see how we can (1) make the most out of the incredible deals on offer, and (2) make the most out of our very limited budget. Below are our tips!

1. Tune in to 9.9 Super Shopping Day on GMA News TV

Live deals, prize giveaways, promos, not to mention star-studded performances and in-app games make the users' shopping experience more fun. 

Deals will be announced during the two-hour long show on GMA News TV and Shopee Live from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

2. Catch Flash Sales throughout the TV special event

As though that's not enough, Rhian Ramos said there will be 12 Flash Sales all throughout the TV special event.

"Those deals are only up for about 1 and 2 minutes so you really have to watch carefully," Rhian said.

According to a press release, Shopee said there are flash deals as low as P9.

3. Check out exclusive deals for each category

With Rhian at the Shopee 9.9 media conference were fellow Kapuso stars Janine Gutierrez, Gabbi Garcia, Rayver Cruz who all gave insider tips on how to shop using the app.

According to Rhian, the fashion bazaar deals and the sale in the beauty sections are the one to watch. "I heard there's going to be really good deals there too and there's a separate section kasi inside the app for the fashion bazaar, which helps fashionistas to scout for the best deals," she said.

Meanwhile, Janine, who's already started her Christmas Shopping, will scoot down the electronics

There are nine sections in total, including At Home Essentials, Home Finds, Active/Sports, Mom's favorite deals, and of course, Grocery.

4. Make use of the 20% Cashback feature

A Cashback Voucher can earn you Shopee coins, which will give you discounts for your next purchase.

To get those, click on the claim button of the cashback and start shopping with items tagged "9.9 20% Cashback."

Make sure to apply the Cashback voucher when you checkout your item and click on the "Order Received" once you get your order.

5. Use your ShopeePay and make the most out of items with Free Shipping 

When using ShopeePay for payment, users can get up to 90% off on leading brands on the app. They can also win exciting prizes when they use ShopeePay.
