These Loewe x My Neighbor Totoro bags are your new best friends

You may soon be able to take the cute and quirky creatures of “My Neighbor Totoro” anywhere you like.

Loewe is launching a new collection that features the Studio Ghibli classic’s beloved characters on the surface of bags and small leather accessories such as pouches, cases and wallets this year. The capsule collection also includes Totoro-inspired t-shirts, hooden sweatshirts, jumpers, and more.

The collab features the dreamy landscapes from “My Neighbor Totoro” as prints, allover prints, jacquard intarsia and leather marquetry – also as hand-painted motifs or transformed into pom-poms. 

“The connection between Loewe and Studio Ghibli is this mutual love of craft and artisanal techniques, expressed in our respective languages. The connection between Loewe and ‘My Neighbor Totoro,’ on the other hand, is the mutual connection with nature, the world outdoors and a sense of perpetual invention,” Loewe said it its release.

“The fluidity of the whole collection conveys a distinctively youthful feel,” it added.

“My Neighbor Totoro” (1988) is a popular Japanese animated film created by Studio Ghibli, noted for its heartwarming tale of love, family, and friendship; with dazzling, enchanting, and gorgeously-drawn setting.

Loewe is a Spanish luxury fashion brand exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Stores Specialists, Inc. located at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall (East Wing) in Mandaluyong, NCR.
