The story behind Kris Bernal's unworn Cinderella-inspired civil wedding dress

We all fell in love with Kris Bernal's beautiful Mak Tumang ball gown she wore to her church wedding last month, but did you know she also had another fairy tale-inspired dress made for a civil wedding?

The actress just gave her followers a peek at the blue Cinderella-inspired creation in a recent Instagram post.

In the caption, Kris shared the story of how the dress was made amid many changes in their wedding plans due to the pandemic.

"Do you recall when it was announced that it was GCQ and then back to MECQ after hours? We were already pushing for a traditional wedding until it was snatched away from us. So, in order to move forward with our wedding, we decided to go with a civil ceremony," Kris said.

Kris said she then contacted bridal dress maker House of Beyond White to  ask if they can produce a civil wedding dress for her in 10 days, as she didn't want to burden Mak Tumang with making another on top of her church wedding dress.

To her delight, they said yes and the dress was completed on time. However, she did not get the chance to wear it on a civil ceremony.

"There was the day when it was announced that we would be placed under GCQ Alert Level 4 status. With a 10% capacity, the Church officially opened its doors for wedding ceremonies," Kris said.

Not wanting the gorgeous dress to go to waste, Kris found a way to wear it on the day of her church wedding, though not on the ceremony itself, and took some photos.

"The dress was breathtaking, and our peg of a Cinderella dress I'd always wanted to wear was spot on," she said.
