Cris Albert, Fila Philippines CEO and owner, dies

FIla Philippines CEO and owner Cris Albert has died.

Her sister, Ana Abad Santos, confirmed the unfortunate news on Facebook Monday with a statement.

"It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing on Saturday, April 23, 2022, of Fila Philippines CEO and owner, Ms. Cris Albert,” read the statement, which was also posted on the Fila Philippines Facebook page.

The Strait Times of Singapore reports Cris was "found dead at the Fullerton Bay Hotel in the early hours of Saturday."

Ms Albert was found lying motionless at the scene and pronounced dead by a paramedic," it aded.

The report cited a police spokesman saying "the police are investigating it as a case of unnatural death."

"Her family appeals to everyone to respect their privacy as they grieve in this time of immense loss," the statement of her death continued.

Further details of the wake will soon be shared according to the Abad Santos and Albert family.

According to the Fila Philippines' official website, Cris managed the brand in the Philippines for more than 15 years.
