Gucci officially names IU as its newest global ambassador

Gucci has officially named IU as its newest global ambassador!

The fashion house posted an Instagram photo of the South Korean singer and actress, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, at the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival 2022.

IU wore a gown by Alessandro Michele with "lace rebrodé petal details on the cuffs, as well as sequin flowers and crystal embellishments on the skirt."

This is the first time that Gucci referred to IU as its "global ambassador" following a longtime partnership between the two parties.

Gucci has previously named three other Korean stars as global brand ambassadors: EXO's Kai, Shin Min Ah, and Lee Jung Jae.

IU attended the 75th Cannes Film Festival where her film "Broker" was nominated. The movie is set to premiere on June 9. —JCB, GMA News
