Negros Oriental's splendid Christmas displays

A mix of native- and Western-inspired lights and sounds await travelers, local or foreign, spending Christmastime in Negros Oriental.

At the Ninoy Aquino Freedom Park in Dumaguete City, the province's Kilometer Zero, the Christmas spirit is all around for the annual "Pasko sa Kapitolyo." The affair is similar to the province's trademark "Buglasan Festival" every October, except local government units from around Negros Oriental build Christmas-inspired booths for tourists to see what the holidays are like in their respective cities and towns.

There's also the Dumaguete Christmas House, which is considered one of the go-to Christmas spots in the city. Owned by renowned physician Dr. Rico Absin, his family's ancestral house is known for its elegant holiday indoor and outdoor decor.

Take a look at what Christmas is like not only in Dumaguete, but also in other spots in Negros Oriental.
