These breathtaking photos of Boracay Island amid quarantine look almost unreal

Boracay Island is looking more and more like a paradise amid the enhanced community quarantine.

YouScooper Fritz Mendez, a bank employee who lives in the island, took photos of Bora last week.

His snaps featured the beautiful island showing the crystal clear water, blue skies, white sand, and palm trees looking almost unreal.

However, swimming and sunbathing are not allowed and there's a schedule for those who will visit the market and bank, according to Mendez.

He said there are still tourists in the island but the ferry service is available only for frontliners and essential workers.

Mendez also said social distancing is being observed, while wearing a mask and bringing the quarantine pass are required when going outside.

The enhanced community quarantine in Aklan has been extended by Governor Florencio Miraflores until April 30.

As of April 20, Aklan has recorded six confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to the Department of Health-Western Visayas. Five patients are still admitted at the hospital and one is in home quarantine.
