Missing Vigan? Here's an online tour

Do you miss walking down Calle Crisologo and feeling like you've been transported to another time? Do you miss sinking your teeth into crispy Vigan empanada?

While travel is still restricted amid the pandemic, you can virtually enjoy touring Vigan, Ilocos Sur in this episode of "Unang Hirit."

Vlogger Dominic Castaneda took viewers not just to Calle Crisologo, but to the Vigan City Public Market, too, one of the biggest markets in Ilocos Sur.

He said visitors had to wear face masks and face shields, practice physical distancing, and fill out heath declaration forms for easier contact tracing.

He showed viewers how the Vigan empanada is made, as well as the authentic Vigan bagnet.

In Jeannie's Vigan Bagnet & Longganisa, a kilo of bagnet costs P450 to P500, while the longganisa costs P120 to P150 depending on the size.

"So pag pwede nang bumisita dito sa north, mga Kapuso, wag niyong kakalimutan na pumunta dito sa Vigan, Ilocos Sur para sa inyong next destination," Dominic said. —JCB, GMA News
