Consumers got more relief from high costs of living Monday after independent dealers of liquefied petroleum gas rolled back their prices by P1 per kilo.

But LPG Marketers Association party list Rep. Arnel Ty said not all LPGMA members may start implementing the rollback at the same time on Monday.

"Today meron tayong P1 per kilo LPG rollback at mag-start ito ngayong araw na ito ... Ang ilang member ngayon, then ‘yung ilan after a few days," Ty said in an interview on dzBB radio.

He said this means another P11 rollback for 11-kg LPG tanks.

Only last April 9, LPGMA members also rolled back prices of their products by P2 per kilo, or P22 per 11-kg tank, which translated at the time to P700 and P725 per 11-kg tank.

Ty also hinted at more rollbacks in the coming weeks, citing the lower contract prices of the commodity.

"Hindi ito ang huli. Ito ay umpisa pa lang at maraming rollback ang darating," he said last April 9. –KG, GMA News
