Oil firms raise fuel prices before 2012 ends

(Updated 9:35 a.m.) - On the last day of 2012, oil firms raised the prices of some of their fuel products.
 
Starting 6 a.m., Shell raised prices of its diesel, kerosene, unleaded and regular products, radio dzBB reported.
 
The increases included:
 
  • 75 centavos per liter for unleaded and premium gas
  • 65 centavos per liter for regular gas
  • 30 centavos per liter for kerosene
  • 20 centavos per liter for diesel
 
A separate report by dzBB's Allan Gatus said Petron and Chevron also raised prices of their products.
 
The report said both Petron and Chevron raised prices of their diesel products by 20 centavos per liter, and unleaded and premium gas by 75 centavos per liter.
Total also implemented an oil price hike, according to a report on Unang Balita. Starting 6 a.m., Total raised prices of its diesel, premium and regular gas. Total products increased by 20 centavos per liter for diesel, 75 centavos per liter for premium gasoline and 65 centavos per liter for regular gasoline. —CGL/KG, GMA News
