UK investment firm acquires 5% stake in ICTSI

UK investment management company Genesis Asset Managers, LLP has acquired a combined five percent interest in global port operator International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI). In a beneficial ownership report filed with the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday, Genesis said it now owns 97.01 million ICTSI shares purchased from the open market on separate occasions. Genesis invests in emerging markets equities, serving institutional clients in the UK, the US, Europe, Australia and the Middle East. The Enrique Razon, Jr.-controlled ICTSI directly operates the Manila International Container Terminal at the Port of Manila. It also owns or operates facilities in China, Ecuador, Poland, Brazil, Madagascar, Syria, Georgia, Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, India, Colombia, Argentina, Croatia, Mexico and the US. — BM, GMA News
