In a bid to address gender equality, Convergys Philippines on Tuesday said it will be adding gender-neutral restrooms for employees.
The company will install at least one gender-neutral restroom in each branch in Quezon City.
"I think we're building one in most of our sites in Quezon City kasi the QC Government is asking us to do that in our sites so we're doing that," Convergys Asia Pacific President Ivic P. Mueco told GMA News Online on the sidelines of the Philippines-Australian ASEAN Forum in Pasay City.
A gender-neutral restroom will be open to all individuals, regardless of gender identity or gender expression.
According to Mueco, the gender-neutral restrooms are expected to be operational before the end of the year.
"I think before the end of the year. You don't have to build. You just have to allocate. It's a good thing," she said. — BM, GMA News
