BPI’s online, mobile services temporarily unavailable

Online and mobile banking services of Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) became temporarily unavailable due to a recent system upgrade.

In an advisory posted on its Facebook page late Wednesday, the Ayala-led lender said some of its financial transactions using online and mobile banking platforms were affected.

“Please bear with us as our channels adjust to the newly upgraded system,” BPI said.

The advisory, however, did not specify when services will return to normal.

“Rest assured that we are working hard to restore these services as soon as possible,” the bank said.

BPI said transactions can instead be made through automated teller machines (ATM) and cash accept machines.

The bank earlier undergone a three-day system upgrade from April 5 to 7. Electronic and ATM transactions were unavailable during the period. — MDM, GMA News
