Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices down Tuesday

Following last week's price hike, motorists will be greeted with cheaper pump prices of petroleum this week.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and SEAOIL Philippines Inc. said they will reduce pump prices per liter of gasoline by P0.25, diesel by P0.10, and kerosene by P0.25.

Petro Gazz, and Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and TOTAL Philippines Corp. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22 for Caltex, and 6 a.m. for all the rest of the firms.

According to the latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE), as of October 15, year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P5.86 per liter for gasoline, P4.12 for diesel, and P1.21 for kerosene. — RSJ/LDF, GMA News
