Cebu Pacific holds P99 seat sale for summer flights

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific has announced promotional fares for flights during the summer season, with one-base fares as low as P99.

In an advisory, CebPac said promotional fares will run until Wednesday, February 26 covering flights from April 1 to June 30, 2020.

Under the promo, one-way base fares for domestic flights run as low as P99 and international flights as low as P399.

Quoted one-way base fares are exclusive of web admin fee, 12% value-added tax (VAT), terminal fees, and fuel surcharges.

The carrier announced last week it would reduce fares for over 70 domestic destinations, in line with government initiatives to boost domestic tourism amid the outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The announcement came after tourism industry stakeholders met with President Rodrigo Duterte and agreed to lower airfare and hotel rates. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA News
