Cebu Pacific resumes passenger flights to, from Dubai on Sunday

Cebu Pacific on Friday said it will resume passenger flights to and from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) beginning Sunday, July 12, 2020.

These are the following flights:

  • 5J 18 Manila-Dubai - every Sunday at 6:55 p.m. (Manila time)
  • 5J 19 Dubai-Manila - every Monday  at 3:30 a.m. (Dubai time), starting July 13

Cebu Pacific said the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority is requiring passengers to obtain travel and health insurance coverage before arrival in the UAE.

Guests without valid health insurance may be denied check-in or boarding.

Passengers on cancelled Manila-Dubai-Manila flights may rebook online through the Cebu Pacific website.

Government quarantine and travel regulations will apply for all passengers flying between Manila and Dubai.

Passengers confirmed on these flights are urged to observe the following Contact Flights guidelines:

  • the wearing of masks,
  • online check-in,
  • being at the airport three hours before the flight,
  • counter closure of one hour before flight,
  • maximum one hand-carry per person,
  • contactless boarding procedures, and
  • physical distancing.

All other Cebu Pacific international flights remain canceled from July 11 to 31, 2020 and passengers are encouraged to either rebook, get a full refund, or place the cost of their tickets in a travel fund.

Domestic flights

Cebu Pacific and Cebgo, meanwhile, are operating a limited number of domestic flights, as aligned with regulations issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), and limitations and restrictions set by the concerned local government agencies or units.

All other previously scheduled domestic flights that are not on the updated list are canceled. Passengers on canceled flights may rebook to any of the above-mentioned flights online.

"Guests are strongly urged to select destinations that are closest to their residences, to be able to comply with directives from local authorities," said Cebu Pacific.

Passengers may be asked to provide their complete addresses prior to travel date and providing inaccurate information may result in denied boarding of the flight.

Real-time Flight Status can be checked on the airline's official website.

Cebu Pacific discouraged passengers from going to the airport unless their flight schedule has been verified and confirmed.
