Fuel companies announce rollback in prices of diesel, gasoline, kerosene

Some fuel companies announced a rollback in the prices of their diesel, gasoline, and kerosene products this week.

Effective 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Petro Gazz and SEAOIL Philippines Inc. will decrease the prices of their diesel by P0.30 per liter, and their gasoline by P0.25 per liter.

Shell and SEAOIL will also cut the prices of their kerosene by P0.15 per liter.

Cleanfuel will also implement the same changes, excluding kerosene, effective 8:01 a.m. on Tuesday.

Unioil said in its forecast for August 4 to 10 that diesel prices may go down by P0.10 per liter and gasoline prices by P0.25 to P0.30 per liter.

According to data available from the Department of Energy, year-to-date adjustments stand at a net decrease of P4.97 per liter for gasoline, P8.54 for diesel, and P12.99 for kerosene as of July 14, 2020. â€”with Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA News
