14,000 Manila Water customers in Rizal face eight-hour water interruption

Some 14,000 customers of the Manila Water Company Inc. in Rizal are set to experience an eight-hour service interruption this week, due to leak repairs starting Thursday night.

In an advisory released on Wednesday, Manila Water said it would undertake repairs along M.H Del Pilar corner C. Reyes, Barangay San Rafael in Rodriguez, Rizal, affecting customers in five barangays -- San Rafael, Geronimo, San Rosario, Balite, San Isidro.

Customers in the areas will experience a service interruption starting 10:00 p.m. on October 22, until 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020.

"Manila Water is advising residents of the said barangays to store enough water to supply their needs during the interruption period," the advisory read.

Manila Water is the east zone concessionaire which services 23 cities and municipalities in Metro Manila and Rizal.

These include Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Pateros, San Juan, Taguig, Marikina, and parts of Quezon City and Manila, as well as the towns of Angono, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Jalajala, Morong, Pililia, Rodriguez, Tanay, Taytay, Teresa, San Mateo and Antipolo in the province of Rizal. -NB, GMA News
