Diesel, kerosene prices to be rolled back Tuesday

Motorists will be greeted with lower pump prices of diesel and kerosene this week, while those of gasoline will be kept at current rates.

In separate advisories, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will reduce prices per liter of diesel by P0.25 and kerosene by P0.15, while those of gasoline will be unchanged.

Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel that will implement the adjustments at 8:01 a.m. on the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements.

According to the latest data available from the Department of Energy, year-to-date adjustments stand at a net decrease of P4.67 per liter for gasoline, P10.01 per liter for diesel, and P13.44 per liter for kerosene as of October 20, 2020. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA News
