PAL issues reminders for international travel

As the government gradually eases restrictions on air travel, flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Tuesday issued reminders for travelers going out of the country.

In an advisory, PAL said passengers departing from the Philippines must accomplish the Passenger Profile and Health Declaration (PPHD) form online five days prior to flight departure.

“The online portal will be open for registration on November 10, 2020 for flights starting November 12, 2020,” the airline said.

Exempted from accomplishing the PPHD form online are travelers bound for the US, Canada and Australia, “all of whom must accomplish the paper form upon airport check-in.”

Passengers bound for Singapore are required to accomplish the PPHD paper form upon airport check-in in addition to the online registration.

PAL noted that local manning agencies (LMAs) may register on behalf of their passengers.

“Travel requirements of foreign countries are subject to periodic adjustments and as such, we do encourage you to also check the websites of foreign governments,” PAL said.

“These requirements may include downloading a mobile app, accomplishing additional online forms, booking a quarantine hotel, and/or securing a COVID-19 test result,” it said.

Meanwhile, effective November 11, 2020, PAL said passengers may undergo COVID-19 RT-PCR testing at the Philippine Airlines Learning Center (PLC) located at 540 Padre Faura cor. Adriatico St. Ermita, Manila.

“Our Department of Health-accredited laboratory partner Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics provides drive-thru or walk-in RT-PCR testing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at a cost of P4,500. Results are released within 24 hours,” it said.

“Payment options are: cash (PHP currency only), card (debit/credit), GCash, PayPAL, WeChatPay, or Alipay,” it added.

Upon entering the PAL Learning Center for RT-PCR testing, passengers should present ID, plane ticket, and QR code indicating a successfully registered passenger profile and health declaration online.

“Should you wish to avail of the services of other testing and lab partners of PAL, you may click the link for the complete listing: https://bit.ly/PALInternationalTestingPartners,” the airline said.

Upon your arrival at the airport on the day of your flight, a check will be carried out to determine completeness and validity of travel documents, according to the flag carrier.

“For more information on travel protocols, procedures and requirements, you may visit www.philippineairlines.com or the Official PAL Facebook Page or call PAL hotline numbers +632-8855-8888 or tollfree 1-800-435-9725,” it said.—AOL, GMA News
