No network outage in Metro Manila, Globe says

Ayala-led Globe Telecom Inc. on Tuesday denied a network outage in Metro Manila, as reported in several posts circulating online.

"This is to inform our customers that there is no network outage in Metro Manila and NCR as reported by some media outfits," the company said in an advisory.

Shares in Globe closed Tuesday at P2,028.00 apiece, up P8.00 or 0.40% from Monday's finish of P2,020.00.

It was responding to reports citing DownDetector.com, an online portal which offers real-time status and outage information for services considered vital to everyday lives and work.

Earlier on Tuesday, Converge ICT Solutions Inc. reported service interruptions across the country due to its issues in its data service, which the company is working to resolve as of posting.
