Maynilad customers to have water service interruption on Dec. 5 to 7

Customers of Maynilad Water Services Inc. will experience water service interruption from Saturday, Dec. 5, to Monday, Dec. 7, the company announced on Friday night.

This is due to the maintenance work to be done at the La Mesa Treatment Plant 2 which will result in lower water production.

“Pansamantalang ibababa ang water production ng La Mesa Treatment Plant 2 simula mamayang gabi upang bigyang-daan ang urgent maintenance works na ipinagpaliban matapos ang naging epekto ng Bagyong Ulysses sa aming operasyon,” Maynilad said in a post on Facebook and Twitter.

Customers in Caloocan, Valenzuela, Quezon City, Meycauayan and Obando will have water service interruption from 10 a.m. of Dec. 5 to 4 a.m. of Dec. 7.

The rotational water service interruption schedules have been posted on Maynilad’s social media.

The company advised customers to store water when there is supply.

It also advised customers to let the water flow from faucets once supply resumes, to rid it of discoloration.

Maynilad said customers may also use a piece of clean cloth as filter.

It also advised customers to boil the water first before drinking.

Maynilad asked the public for understanding for the inconvenience the service interruption will cause. —KG, GMA News
