Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices up for 4th straight week Tuesday

Pump prices of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene will be hiked anew on Tuesday, marking the fourth straight week of increases.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.75, diesel by P0.70, and kerosene by P0.70.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11, for all the firms except for Caltex which will adjust prices at 12:01 a.m. and Cleanfuel at 4:01 p.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements.

Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) show that year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P7.80 per liter for gasoline, P6.05 per liter for diesel, and P5.30 per liter for kerosene as of May 4, 2021.—AOL, GMA News
