Supermarket and grocery chain operator Puregold on Friday said it has already corrected a public service advisory poster which confused netizens.

A photo circulating on social media showed a Puregold poster that says “16yrs. Old to 65yrs. Old ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE STORE.”

“Under supervision of IATF all business establishments will not allow to enter at the age of 16yrs. old to 65 yrs. old under GCQ/General Community Quaranty,” the poster read.

The poster created confusion as it states that the age range banned to enter Puregold stores are mostly working adults.

IATF guidelines, however, said that any person below 18 years old and those over 65 years old are required to remain in their residences at all times, except for obtaining essential goods and services or for work in industries and offices or such other activities permitted under GCQ.

Sought for clarification, Puregold vice president for Investor Relations said that “we have rectified the wrong poster already."

Hao said that only those under the age range of 18 to 65 years old will be allowed to enter Puregold stores.
