Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices up anew Tuesday

Pump prices of petroleum products will be hiked anew on Tuesday, marking the second straight week for gasoline and seventh for diesel.

In an advisory separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said it they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.80, diesel by P0.40, and kerosene by P0.25.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, except for Caltex which will implement the changes 12:01 a.m. and Cleanfuel at 4:01 p.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements.

According to the latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE), year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P8.50 per liter for gasoline, P7.20 per liter for diesel, and P5.85 per liter for kerosene as of May 25, 2021.— Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/RSJ/LDF, GMA News
