AirAsia offers up to 50% off flights, 60% off accommodations in latest Super Sale

AirAsia Philippines is offering up to 50% off on selected flights in its latest Super Sale as more areas open up for travel following the COVID-19 quarantines.

Under the promo, AirAsia customers can book up to 50% off on flights and up to 20% off on flight add-ons such as pre-booked baggage and seat selections.

The carrier is also offering special rates for flight and hotel combinations for destinations such as Boracay, with up to 60% off on accommodations, and up to 50% off on retail items.

The promo started on Monday, July 5, and will run until Sunday, July 11. It is available at the AirAsia mobile application and its official website.

“With the recent news of intrazonal movement being permitted for fully vaccinated individuals including senior citizens, we anticipate a significant spike in domestic air travel; those who have been planning to travel home to see loved ones, or to their favorite leisure destinations to take a much needed break,” AirAsia Philippines spokesperson Steve Dailisan said in an advisory.

“We look forward to expanding out offerings in the Philippines, and providing the most affordable and accessible travel and lifestyle products available to Filipinos,” he added.

AirAsia Philippines suspended operations for nearly three months in 2020, following the travel restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It resumed operations in June 2020, albeit on a limited basis, depending on the prevailing travel guidelines across the flight destinations.

The carrier, along with Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines, earlier appealed for the government to provide P8.6 billion in assistance to the airline industry given losses incurred during the period. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA News
