Budget airline Cebu Pacific on Tuesday said it supports the national government's COVID-19  travel rules scrapping swab tests as a travel requirement for those who completed their vaccination.

In a statement, the airline management, however, reminded travelers to check the travel requirements of the local government units of their destination.

“We are in full support of these guidelines. Right now, we are waiting for local government units that will issue their respective Executive Orders adopting the IATF Resolution 124-B and look forward to welcoming more passengers on board,” Alex Reyes, Chief Strategy Officer at Cebu Pacific, said.

“We believe this is an opportunity for all stakeholders to collaborate as we work toward the same goal – and that is to safely reopen domestic travel again,” Reyes added.
