Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices rollback set Tuesday; year-to-date hikes at P21.95/liter

After ten straight weeks of hikes, oil firms on Monday announced a rollback in pump prices of petroleum products.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines inc. said they will cut prices per liter of gasoline by P1.00, diesel by P0.60, and kerosene by P0.65.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 9, for all the firms except for Caltex which will implement the adjustments at 12:01 a.m., and Cleanfuel at 8:01 a.m. on the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

Pump prices of gasoline were hiked for the past 10 weeks, while those of diesel and kerosene were increased for nine of the last 10 weeks. 

Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) indicate that year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P21.95 per liter for gasoline, P18.10 per liter for diesel, and P15.74 per liter for kerosene as of November 2, 2021. — RSJ, GMA News
