Fuel prices seen to go up next week

Pump prices of petroleum products are expected to rise in the coming week, according to Unioil Petroleum Philippines' predictions, following a series of rollbacks.

In its fuel price forecast for December 14 to 20 trading week, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel may increase by P1.30 to P1.40.

Meanwhile, gasoline prices may climb by P1.40 to P1.50 per liter.

Oil companies usually announce price adjustments every Monday to be implemented on the following day’s morning.

Petroleum product prices have already fallen for five weeks in a row.

Year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P18.10 per liter for gasoline and P15.70 per liter for diesel. — VBL, GMA News
