Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices up Tuesday, April 19, 2022

Motorists will have to pay more for petroleum products this week, as oil firms are set to implement a price hike after two straight weeks of rollbacks.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P0.45, diesel by P1.70, and kerosene by P0.45.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene, which they do not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, for all firms except for Cleanfuel which will implement the changes at 4:01 p.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) indicate that year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P15.00 per liter for gasoline, P25.65 per liter for diesel, and P21.10 per liter for kerosene. — RSJ/BM, GMA News
