Meralco power service interruptions from April 20 to 24, 2022

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) on Wednesday announced power service interruptions in select parts of Metro Manila this week, as part of its scheduled maintenance activities.

Based on its scheduled maintenance, the following areas can expect interruptions starting Wednesday, April 20:

APRIL 20 TO 21, 2022

Caloocan City, Malabon City (Dagat-Dagatan), Navotas City

Between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on April 20 and between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on April 21

• Portion of North Bay Blvd. from near C-3 Road to and including Earth20 Inc. and 168 Tube Ice Corp. in Bgy. North Bay Blvd. South, Navotas City.

Meralco implemented increased rates by 53.63 cents this month, marking the second straight month of increases.

The firm constructs, operates, and maintains electric distribution systems in the cities and municipalities of Bulacan, Cavite, Metro Manila, and Rizal, as well as certain areas in the provinces of Batangas, Laguna, Pampanga, and Quezon.

Shares in Meralco closed Wednesday at P355.60 apiece, down by P1.40 or 0.39% apiece from Tuesday’s finish of P357.00.—AOL, GMA News
