Local kiosk-based fries producer Potato Corner has expanded its overseas presence through the opening of stores in London and in Dubai, in line with its global expansion efforts.

In an emailed statement, Potato Corner said it opened a store at the Medz Corner Food Court along Kensington High Street in London, bringing its presence to its fifth continent after Asia, North America, South America, and Australia.

“The brand and its line of products have a global appeal. It can cater to UK locals who love potatoes, and what better way to enjoy potatoes than adding a variety of flavors,” Wilfredo Venture, the franchisee of the London store, said.

Potato Corner also opened a store in Dubai, franchised by Filipino businessman and restaurateur Rolly Brucales.

“Whenever I ask Filipinos what flavored fries they miss the most, the majority of them often say Potato Corner. That is why I explored how we can bring the Philippines’ most popular brand here in the UAE,” he said.

The kiosk operator also recently opened a store in Zarraga, Iloilo to mark its 1,400th store across the globe. This includes 1,195 stores in the Philippines, and 205 stores overseas including locations in Thailand, Singapore, China, and Canada.
