ECCP: Improved website to attract more investors

To ease current business processes, nearly 700 members of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) can begin transacting with their clients and suppliers through the free use of internet. The ECCP said Wednesday it is making available "Web Talk Directory" that will allow ECCP members to make and receive calls for free via its website. "This new service will allow our members and other interested companies to cut communication costs in their operations, have a better customer relation[ship] management, and become more competitive in their respective industries," said ECCP executive vice president Henry Schumacher. Web Talk Directory will be powered by VoiceOne Asia, one of the world's leading providers of end-to-end voice over internet protocol solutions. The new tool on the ECCP website will give its members increased visibility to potential clients worldwide, according to Schumacher. "We have always advocated and promoted Philippine companies in Europe and in other parts of the world through trade fairs, business missions, and road shows. Web Talk Directory can position and present themselves better to their target markets," he said. The new tool will be more advantageous to its members than the current crop of social networking sites that companies have started using, Schumacher pointed out. Established in 1978, the ECCP has been providing business services and linkages between European and Philippine-based companies and business organizations. — JE/OMG, GMANews.TV
