The Department of Interior and Local Government disclosed Wednesday that it will sign Thursday with the World Bank’s International Finance Corp. a memorandum of agreement to implement the Regulatory Simplification Project.   The project seeks to improve local government process, regulations, and institutions related to business entry, and aims to reduce the transaction cost of doing business in localities.    DILG implementation will be through the Local Government Academy and with three cities that met the criteria set for the project.   Among the expected signatories are DILG Undersecretary Austere Panadero, IFC-WB representative Hans Shrader, Puerto Princesa mayor Edward Hagedorn, and Tuguegarao mayor Delfin Ting. — AE/ELR, GMA News
