Petron, Chevron, Flying V to raise fuel prices Tuesday
Some oil companies are raising the prices of their fuel products effective Tuesday morning, ending three weeks of fuel price rollbacks. On Monday evening, a report on dzBB radio said Chevron and Flying V are increasing prices of gasoline, kerosene and diesel effective 6 a.m. Tuesday. Both companies are raising prices of gas by P0.50 per liter, diesel by P0.40 per liter, and kerosene by P0.25 per liter, the report said. A separate tweet by Petrol Price Monitor indicated Petron is also imposing a similar price hike Tuesday. But the dzBB report also said the Department of Energy indicated not all fuel prices will be increased, and that those covered may not go up by more than P1 per liter. The price hike comes on the eve of Labor Day, where workers' groups lament the rising costs of living. — BM, GMA News
