Rice from Vietnam and Thailand now available in markets —NFA

Officials of the National Food Authority (NFA) inspected markets in Quezon City on Tuesday to see if rice imported from Thailand and Vietnam has reached the stores.

In a report by Bernadette Reyes on “Balitanghali,” NFA officials visited markets in Kamuning, Commonwealth, and Muñoz.

Four stores in Commonwealth market are already selling NFA rice.

Consumers can also buy subsidized rice from two stores in Muñoz market. Two stores are also selling NFA rice in Kamuning.

NFA rice sells for P27 a kilo.

With NFA rice now available in markets, the price of commercial rice might go down, according to the report. —Anna Felicia Bajo/VDS, GMA News
