DTI: Goods free to move despite COVID-19 community quarantine in NCR

The movement of goods to and from Metro Manila will not be affected by the quarantine ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said on Thursday night.

“Cargoes, food and non-food okay to move,” Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said in a text message.

The clarification came after Duterte on Thursday evening ordered the quarantine of Metro Manila starting March 15.

The latest measure, Duterte said, was in line with efforts to combat the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). —NB, GMA News
