School bus owners worry over bank loan payments under GCQ

School service operators on Friday sought President Rodrigo Duterte's help as they worried over making bank loan payments once the modified enhanced community quarantine was lifted.

In Emil Sumangil's report on "24 Oras," a school service operator said that their future remained unclear under the general community quarantine.

The Department of Education has said that it would not allow face-to-face classes in the coming school year due to the coronavirus disease 2019 threat.

Lalo na 'yan ang bread and butter namin, saan namin kuhanin 'yung pangbabayad namin diyan," said Al Bautista of the La Salle School Service.

Meanwhile, the Mandaluyong City Government said that they had plans for the school service owners.

"Ita-tie up namin 'yan sa mga companies na nangangailangan ng shuttle, para kahit papaano may income naman sila," Mayor Menchie Abalos said. — DVM, GMA News
