The Philippine Stock Exchange Inc. (PSE) on Wednesday said it temporarily closed its headquarters in Taguig City after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

In a memorandum, the PSE said its head office as well as its trading floor in Bonifacio Global City will be closed for 24 hours to give way for decontamination efforts.

“Stock market trading will not be affected by the closure of the trading floor as trading participants are equipped to conduct offsite trading,” it said.

“Business functions of the Exchange will also not be hampered by the closure as its employees have an alternative work arrangement,” it added.

The PSE said it will initiate contact tracing to identify the individuals that the employee came in close contact with when the staff member was in the premises of the Exchange.

The local bourse operator added that it shall make the necessary announcements once there is a significant development on the matter. — RSJ, GMA News
