15K local, overseas jobs available at DOLE's anniversary fairs this December

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Saturday said some 15,000 jobs here and abroad will be available at its 'hybrid' fairs for the agency's 88th founding anniversary.

A total of 224 employers will participate in the job fairs offering 15,569 jobs, the DOLE said.

Of this number, 12,598 are local jobs offered by 189 employers. These are mostly for customer service representatives, production workers, sewers, sales associates, salesmen, office staff, helpers, and kitchen crew.

Meanwhile, 35 recruitment agencies will offer 2,971 overseas jobs.

The jobs abroad are for registered nurses, bakers, auto mechanics, household service workers, and kitchen crew in Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Kuwait, and Qatar.

The job fairs will be conducted online and face-to-face in Metro Manila, the Bicol Region, Central Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

For those in Metro Manila, the face-to-face job fair will be conducted on December 6 at the DOLE Labor Governance Learning Center on San Jose Street in Intramuros, Manila. Those applying for the jobs available at the online job fair meanwhile will have to pre-register at the JobQuestPH portal.

DOLE said the job fairs in the other regions will be held at the following venues and dates:

Region 5:

Cordillera Administrative Region:

Ilocos Region:

• Face-to-face: Pangasinan Provincial PESO, Capitol Complex, Alviar St. East, Lingayen, Pangasinan on December 8

Cagayan Valley Region:

• Face-to-face: Malvar, Santiago City on December 8

Central Luzon Region:

• Face-to-face: Bulacan Polytechnic College, Malolos City, Bulacan on December 8

Mimaropa:

• Face-to-face: Bulwagang Panlalawigan, Provincial Capitol Compound, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro on December 13

Western Visayas:

• Face-to-face: SM Iloilo, Iloilo City on December 8

Eastern Visayas:
