According to Mai Bermudez's report on Saksi,  the line of cars at a Congressional Avenue gas station backed up to as long as 200 meters.

Vehicles at another gas station on Commonwealth Avenue lined up for 15 to 30 minutes to fill up their tanks.

Some even brought containers for a reserve supply of fuel before the price increases. The practice is not encouraged for safety reasons.

The price of diesel is scheduled to increase by P5.85 per liter; gasoline, P3.60; kerosene, P4.10.

It is said to be biggest single-day increase since 2004.  —NB, GMA News
